Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

GOTY Megaton house question
I have heard all the nasty things said about how certain containers in your Megaton house can eat your items up. Is this an issue in the GOTY edition? If it is, which containers are affected?

I've played FO3 GOTY three playthroughs, always use the Megaton house, heavily decorated it with everything you can pick up in the game, plus had a ton of items stored in the lockers, desk, file cabinets and refrigerator and have NEVER lost even one item. All storage is safe! ****You can even setup a display on the landing outside the door of the house. Just make sure you don't place anything where the NPC's walk by.****

All five vanilla houses in Skyrim have safe storage. You either had a modded house or a mod that affected storage containers. OR you had a Steam Workshop mod that was removed from the workshop and you lost all items that the mod added.

I just lost a bunch of stuff seconds ago. That's why I found this topic.

It's NOT a myth. Kind of upset, cause I had a LOT of crafting materials. It's all gone.

From what I've read the nuka-cola machine is safe. But that doesn't help me now. My last save that still had the stuff was many hours ago. What a waste.

Thanks devs. :(

Damn this really is a thing that can happen? :/ Did you leave your house for long or did it just happen randomly? I have my whole house decorated with some of my best gear lol kinda dont want to change it :(

I've had all my stuff in an locker to the left of the kitchen and it didn't disappear for the entire length of my game.
(Was an long game.)
For me personally i've never lost anything, but i can't guarantee the items stored there are safe.
Maybe i was just lucky or perhaps it is safe to store stuff there, and it is other places witch items disappear?

Just thought i'd share my experience and hope it might help someone.
Thought as i've said i don't know if they are safe, i just didn't lose anything personally.
I used the vault theme, dont know if that has anything to do with it.

I guess I'll just leave my place the way it is and just not add toomany items since it seems most people dont have a problem with stuff dissapearing. Good to know that it could happen though!
