My top 10 favourite Fallout 3 weapons (Including DLC, Excluding mods) are the following...

1. The Rock-It Launcher [Renamed as the "Junk Jet" in Fallout 4.]
It's just a really fun and hilarious weapon, dismembering someone with a Nuka-Cola Truck or a Teddy bear always brightens up my humor.

2. Railway Rifle
I love the sounds of this gun, the looks of this gun, and the damage of this gun. Being able to impale decapitated heads onto walls and objects is a nice feature too.

3. Microwave Emitter
I just find it to be incredibly Over-Powered and is one of my first choice of weapons to pick if I want to quickly clear an area, grind enemies for XP, or just want to burn my enemies.

4. Victory Rifle
Just my personal choice of a long ranged weapon to allow me to quickly kill enemies from afar.

5. Xuanlong Assault Rifle
The most powerful assault rifle in the vanilla game, I always keep one in my inventory to get me out of sticky situations where no-other weapon would do the job quite as effectively as the Chinese Assault Rifle.

6. Eugene
Because I like miniguns.

7. Experimental MIRV
Because why the f*ck not?!!

8. A3-21's Plasma Rifle
Nothing special, It's just another type of Plasma weapon I like to use.

9. Gauss Rifle
Similar to the Sniper Rifle, except much more bigger, and powerful. But the lack of FOV it gives me makes it an un-appealing weapon for me.

10. Blackhawk
Just a small .44 that lays around in my inventory, only used when the other weapons are low on condition or low on ammo.

Nice list! I enjoy the railway rifle but its damage never quite reaches a solid level. I try to avoid named weapons in these discussions since they are almost always superior but I do enjoy almost every weapon on the list

Unarmed weapons are tons of fun but the unarmed investment isn't normally worth it until late game

well techly it good all round lol (i have had skills hit 60 after i get out of the vault )

add deathclaws are easy to find when you know where to look (add the gauntlet has a high crit rate and dmg ,and looks awesome)


anyways it better to be unarmed then no armed lol

True, I just kind of like to go with the flow for my playthroughs. Any build can be optimal if you plan it out. But if you are just trekking through the game you hardly find any decent unarmed weapons until later on and you rarely even come across brass knuckles in the early game

i do it like this

head to rivet city asap grab the bobble and BP , then head south to get the second bp and grab the sniper from the guy by the liberay, then to the park with the deathclaw (sneak attack him ) grab the BP ,(the route usally yeilds everything else ,if not holmes and morie usally sells them)

Note : it is abit of a extenive process ,but worth it

Yeah, like I said, I am not a big fan of planning out my games beforehand. But that is definitely as good way to do it if you are doing an unarmed run.

Currently Burnmaster flamethrower. Just takes down the tough foes in the game super fast even on very hard mode. Deathclaws and Reavers, burn their legs out from under them first. Overlords, burn their tri-lasers into dust then repeat same as deathclaws/reavers. Albinos.. cooked albinos!

I always give the railroad gun to Charon. He charges ahead, you hear a bunch of toots from a train whistle, then you walk around the corner to find everyone's head staked to the walls.
