PS5 Controller Freaking Out
Okay, so I saw on another post about some kind of issue about PS5 controllers not being recognized in Fallout 3, which is what was happening to me, nothing was responding to my controls, and they said something about Steam being cognized as an Xbox controller and you had to open some setting in Notepads and delete a line of code to fix it. I am hesitant to do that because I don't want to risk messing up my Steam, and the fact that in all the settings, it says "Dual Sense Controller". At first I went into the Steam settings, and changed the PS5 setting that from "Enabled with Compatible Game" to just "Enabled", but instead of letting me use my controller with the settings I made in the specific Fallout 3 controller settings bar, it instead just lets me move the camera with the Right Joysticks, and certain actions with the face buttons. The Left Joystick, directional buttons, triggers, they do absolutely nothing and I have no idea why. I have Fallout New Vegas as well, and that works perfectly with my controller!

So can someone explain what the heck I need to do to fix this weird issue so I can actually play this game?
Thanks in advance

get a Xbox controller.....its simple....the game runs on X input that was made for windows BEFORE there was even a Xbox console.....Xbox controllers support X input NATIVE PS5 controllers do NOT have this support.....without so type of mapping software you will never get the PS5 controller to work and even with good mapping software it will be hit or miss on it working at all times.....
