Crash on lockpick
Hi
First of all i already followed the steps of the installation guide.
I reinstalled the game multiple times.
I edited my fallout.ini and i installed the unofficial 3.0 patch.
But i cant find any workaround to my problem:
Whenever I try to pick a lock the lock zooms in and then the game crashes.
I couldnt find anything in this forum or on google. Am I the only person who experiences this problem?
BTW Iam using Windows 10.
Thanks for any help!

Do you have Nvidia video card? If yes, did you make any adjustments to the driver settings, particularly ambient occlusion? When I turn it on, on lockpicking the game either crashes or the screen starts flickering. Maybe that's the problem. Or maybe try turning off any other graphical adjustments/mods that you made/installed.

Hi Thanks for the answer.
I checked my Nvidia settings and ambient occlusion is off. I even resseted the settings todefault and tried diffrent grafic settings ingame but no change. As soon as i press E on the lock the lock zooms in and the game crashes.
Any other ideas?

I don't know.
I happened to have crashes on lockpicking, but like periodically, not every time I try to pick a lock.
The only things I did on my end to make a game more stable were editing .ini file with UseThreadedAI=1 iNumHWThreads=2, making sure vsync was on and limiting my framerate to 30, because I had it jumping between 30 and 60 all the time.
So maybe try to play without the unofficial patch and "install" this FPS limiter: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43784/?
Who knows, maybe it will help.
