Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

[SPOILERS] Fawkes isn't starting the Purifier.
So right now I'm at the end of the game and I don't wanna kill myself activating the Purifier, so I asked Fawkes to do it for me.
He accepts to do it, enters into the Airlock but just stands still there.
I tried talking to him before pressing the button to cycle the gates, and turning on tcl to get inside and push him to the button panel, yet he doesn't moves an inch.

Any help?

[SPOILERS] Hmm... from what I've seen I didn't think it was possible to get Fawkes to start the purifier. It doesn't really matter, because you will survive starting the purifier yourself.

IIRC it wasn't possible before broken steel. But because it made no sense whatsoever for rad-immune companions to be unable to do it (and thus force the player character to die doing it) they changed it. In addition, you'd still be out due to radiation even if you aren't in the chamber itself, as broken steel proves, via sarah.

You won't die. The game may look like it's over. But you will wake up 2 weeks later in the hospital. Than you can return to the game and finish everything you missed.. including addition content from the DLC's that will now show up..

Didn't read, did ya?
His issue is that he told Fawkes to do it, and Fawkes's script broke. Not to mention the only DLC that requires main story completion is Broken steel. All the others are completely doable only a few minutes after leaving the vault (even if they are hard as balls at low level), and even Broken steel has some stuff capable of showing up before beating main story (like reavers, overlords, and albino scorps, for example).
