Since Tale of Two Wastelands is outdated, whats a good modpack?

Tried going through the TTW guide earlier and after about 15 mins of setting everything up, noticed most of the mods were now outdated and after checking the comments it seems others were having the same issue.

Is there a good modpack for FO3 that brings the gameplay a decade or two forward?

I think a lot of the largest mods/modpacks were built for v1.7.0.3 which had the xlive.dll dependency plus other issues.

Now the latest is 1.7.0.4 which came out in 2021. And honestly that's more stable for me right now playing on Windows 11 with an AMD graphics card.

But I know there are a lot of hardcore fans that know the in's and out's of how to get the best mods working.

Just take the link to the page and navigate to the new version of the mod instead of clicking install off of what it gives you then skip that mod on the collection installer once it starts and repeat. Thats what I did worked just fine.

I got a TTW install with 170 mods in total. Works like a charm. Outdated or not.

Do the nexus mod "Begin Again' Mod for New Vegas and that uprades all the TTW parts that were lacking into a more current gen feel.

I just installed Begin Again TTW for the first time a few days ago and have been enjoying it. No problems to report.

Are you guys playing the base TTW with no additional mods or adding a bunch afterwards? Any top mods you'd recommend are must adds?

The TTW mod author(s) have a list of recommendations, or used to at least. been a while since I was over at their forum. Also nexus has a separate section just for TTW now. Nice nod their accomplishment. Even heavily (but correctly) modded TTW is more stable than both games combined.
