Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Main Menu options overlapping
Hey folks, have been trying to get the game running for a collective 14 hours with uninstall/reinstall 3 different times (got it to run by stumbling upon a short video). Finally had the vanilla game (GOTY in Steam) operable and with hope restored, moved on to modding (using FOMM). I got the Anniversary Patch, FOSE, ESM Patcher, UUFP, 4gb LAA (used on fallout.exe, FOSE, and FOMM due to memory error) which, IIRC, I was still able to launch the game no problem. I then wanted to start on the gameplay mods and decided to try DarnUI with FOOK2 since it had other mods within. Started the game and on the title menu, all of the options (new game, options, credits, etc.) were stacked on each other her. At this point I was very tired and frustrated so I just stopped for the night. I’ve been trying to find any other posts with a similar problem but can’t. I think it may be associated with the .ini edit under [Fonts] that DarnUI had that I realized after stopping that I did not do.
So, I’ve come to a couple questions:

1. Is my suspicion with the .ini correct and will I finally get to play this gem with a quick fix?

B- I’ve noticed that anytime I add a FoMod that FOMM will crash but when reopening the mod will be listed. Is there any concern with this?

Thirdly: I toggled the Archive Invalidation within FOMM at some point within the first couple patch mods and did not disable after, but saw that it’s recommended to turn it back off before further downloads. Is this a problem?

• In the fallout launch menu, under data files, a couple of Fook2 files are always unchecked and I don’t know if this is by design or if that’s another issue to address.

I’m at work right now so I will do my best to answer any clarifying questions, but this is bothering me so much that I wanted to go ahead and post for the experts to hopefully lend help. Thank you all and remember, war never changes.

I ended up dropping DarnUI and Fook, too many conflicts and I’m not quite smart enough(or too impatient) to work F3edit. But thank you, God.

I feel you on that, DarnUI gave me a lot of problems too, had to deactivate and re-activate it in Fallout Mod Manager just to get it to function properly because it's been years since I first installed it. Load order also had some part to play too, apparently DarnUI goes rather high in the order.
