Ashur's Speech repeating glitch

I've advanced The Pitt to Ashur's speech but it keeps repeating the beginning of it and it won't advance either the quest or the speech. I've reloaded 3 separate saves dozens of times, but the only result i get is that all the slaves clothes disappear. I've even tried using the console commands I found on another thread but although it does advance the quest, I cant access my pipboy or my equipped weapon so I can't fight in the arena.
I do play with mods, but most of them are texture or bug/crash fix mods with the only mod that I know of that would be directly affecting The Pitt is a compatibility patch. I'm not locked out of the entire game, I was smart enough to make a save before entering the dlc but i still want to complete it.

Tried playing it without mods? Broken Steel gave me problems (wouldn't even start after the end of the main quest) and NPC's would tell me to stuff it when I asked them to walk in the purifier. I boot it up stock and it advances just fine, got past a couple quests, and reinstalled the mods without issue.

For me, I reloaded my save, talked to the female slave, and slept in the bed in the room. After exiting the room, I pressed the defend button without holding a weapon, freezing my hands in a defending position when the event starts. That worked for me. Here on the FO3 discussions, there's a thread about this same topic where a guy shared a console command that he said solved the problem too, but I didn’t test it because I found it after solving my problem.

Okay i did some tests and yes, the console command worked, i came back here cause on the nexts objectives i get some more soft lock bugs, the code is "setstage DLC01Quest02 xx" where "xx" is the next stage of your questline, DLC01 is the load order, in the wiki dont explain this part and there the code is different, but this one works and the stage you can still get on the wiki
