Last Sunday there were 4,478 people playing.

So I guess at least 4,478 people can still open it. Including me (on Linux via Proton).

yes cos they will most likely bring some patch out that breaks the game and corrupts my save in true bethesda fashion

The game is extremely old now. There are tons of games from the 00s which doesn't work on modern systems without mods/patches anymore. I highly doubt that the devs care for your whining. If you can't install one patch then you should go playing something else your potato can run.

not really a good excuse GTA 4 just works theres stuff to improve it but at least it opens

It's not an excuse. It's a fact. For most people (including me) Fallout 3 runs completely fine without any mods. The only thing i needed was a 4GB patch and searching for it, downloading it and installing it was a thing for about 20 seconds. Just don't be so naive and think that the devs will fix this game.

never said they were going to fix I know they won't its bethesda they couldn't give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about any of their games other than skyrim of course

they actually did fix it a couple of years ago. I wanted to play again and thought I had to go into the ini files like I had to years ago. But to my surprise, it worked right out of the gate. Had something to do with games for windows life, which shut down. They actually patched that out 3 years ago, which is insane because it had been broken for everyone for 8 years or so.

this is just the reality of pc gaming. sometimes you have to tweak stuff to make it work. If you want easy plug and play gaming you should buy a console (not meant as an insult, I play a lot on playstation myself).

Perhaps VALVe should have gamers take & pass some kind of PC test before they can post in the forums. You have to pay to talk in TF2, so I know they wouldn't mind.

Why would they do that the problem is the game not my pc I'm glad some of you can play it I'm happy for you but don't come in here and say its a pc issue when it quite clearly isn't
