Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout reBOOT
I have had Fallout 3 GOTY for a long time but I have a lot of mods that will take forever for me to delete all at once... I want to completely reset the game from scratch to before I ever installed a mod. Although this sequence may delete my character, I truely don't care. I am also not sure if Steam cloud saves all that I have, so if I tried uninstalling the game and re-download it will I have a complete reset or will that do no good. If you know how to start the game from scatch please help :)

  • Unistall the Game
  • Delete the Folder "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 3 goty"
  • Delete the Folder "C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves"
  • Install the Game
  • Play

if you have any saves you want to keep. copy them to another folder before you delete it all.
This is also a problem for Fallout NV, If I bought DLC for Vegas will I have to buy it again????

no you own the dlc.
Ok, just making sure because I went back into my Fallout NV and looked into the DLC and It showed prices for them...

whoa! wait a minute! that's not right. you need to fill out a support ticket with steam a.s.a.p.
do you still have your confirmation email that proves you bought the goty or dlc for the game? i hope so.

I have had this happen to me as well, however just because you see the prices does not mean you do not own the DLC. Usually you can see if you have it by right clicking the game in your library and click on properties and there should be a DLC tab that shows what you own. (That might work for FO:NV) But for the FO 3 GOTY the only way u can confirm if u have the DLC is just to see if you get the quests after leaving Vault 101.
Thanks for the help but I CANT DELETE MY DISSCSUSiON!!! WTF

They probably won't work without the mods installed though, bear that in mind.

I don't think you can once people have replied. It's worth keeping it up for anyone else who has the same question though.

probably come up with an error, saying missing content or something, but they should boot.
