Mods for the best first time experience in Fallout 3?

I'm not too well versed in modding bethesda games, and haven't really played fallout 3. So I was wondering if there are any mods or a list of mods for the best way to experience fall out 3?

Been wondering the same. I started Fallout 3 about a week ago.

I found an old Reddit post and it had so many mods that I became overburdened.

i recommend you to play it twice, once vanilla once without. for mod go to nexus, install vortex to ease your mod installation. than, go install any mod you found that suit to your preference. if you found it still difficult to understand, throw your attention to collection. im currently play my second game with fo3 rebirth
some tips for environment mod: install fellout for realistism. if you dont wanna experience pitch black on night time and indoor, install clarity

Vanilla GOTY the first time, for sure. On a modern rig the load times become minimal, you can crank the eye candy up to where it was intended, and most of the problems associated with running it on 4 or 8 gigs of ram, just go away. It's still a hella fun game, and the way it was released in the world.
Kinda like Romeo and Juliet's premier , in the Globe Theatre, BO, Lice and Plague included!
After yer 1st run, there's a bunch of great mod lists, depending on what you liked and what you didn't.
But I really do, and not because I'm a purist, think this game is best played once in it's best vanilla state, before you decide what to change.
For me, I'mma gonna back to 3, NV, and 4, all on easy or normal, just to dive into that world again before the TV show!
