Game constantly crashes during Combat

When ever I enter combat, the game crashes, and kicks me back to my desktop. Here's some things i've already done:

bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2
I Run it in Compatibility Mode
I also run it in Administrator Mode

I don't really have any mods installed, and either way I'm pretty sure the ones I have need to be put in Manually and not just stuck into FOMM. Any other things I should do to improve this?

Yes u need the "Unofficial patch" from this thread. Its designed to get this game running on post XP systems. Though it apparently(I've had 1 complaint) doesn't always work on 7 and 8.1. For myself and everyone else this patch works like a dream.
