Starting a New Game causes Black Screen with HUD. Help?

I've done the proper fixes for getting Fallout 3 GOTY to stop from crashing on start-up, but whenever I press new game, all I am able to see is a black screen with a few HUD elements showing. Specifically My HP and AP bars, and enemy health bar (Which are shown as empty) and my crosshair. I am still able to hear ambient music play, but I'm unable to move in any way, even with console commands. I don't have any saves, so I don't even know If loading a save could fix it. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it if you did?

Hi, hope you already fixed your issue. But I managed to fix this, by downloading the ini files from this dude: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2945198896

He has got a Discord server, containing INI files. I removed the INI files from my Fallout 3 directory (in Documents\My Games\Fallout3) and placed his files there.

And then... Success :-)

Hi, to anyone else who runs into this issue in the future, the guide maartsen mentioned was somewhat vague to someone like me with no fo3 modding experience, I had a quick chat with the guide's author. They helped me through it so I figured I would put what I learned here.

TLDR: Go to this discord[discord.gg] and download the files and drag them into your Documents\My Games\Fallout3 folder as maartsen said. When it askes you to replace them say yes. you need to replace the following files:

• Fallout 3 ini files: (Message Link) [discord.com]
  
• Fallout Prefs ini files: (Message Link) [discord.com]

Hope that works! If not the guide's author's discord has a modding help channel.
