Fallout 3 GECK wont install

I have tried to install the GECK for Fallout 3 for past few days, but I have a problem. When I try to install the GECK using the GECK installer from the Bethesda's official website it won't install it. It will go trough the installation, but it won't create any files and there won't be a geck.exe file.
Also if I try to run the update patch it says "Old File does not exist"

Any ideas how to fix this?

Go into your FO3 install folder, where the launcher is located. The GECK installer is in there.

But the installer is broken. It wont install the GECK.

You said you downloaded it from the Bethesda site. The one on the site doesn't seem to work with the Steam version. At least not for me. When you installed FO3, Steam dropped the installed in the install folder.

Oh and make sure you install it to Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty

It wants to install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3. Don't let it. Otherwise it will not work.
