Since Microsoft closed GfWL four years ago, no, you don't have to login. The game just requires that the architecture be present, but you don't need to login, or provide a CD key, or anything else with it.
Then as Levi has said, you need to read the pinned thread.
I could never get the game to work on Win7, but when I moved to Win10 the game downloaded GfWL itself and has never had a problem.
All of the links in the thread work for me. You must have something wrong with your computer.
Rockstar did it to Grand Theft Auto IV. Why can't Bethesda do it, both game came out in the same year.
I want to play Fallout 3 but Todd Howard won't allow it
