windows 11 FOSE not working

I have tried multiple videos and hours of troubleshooting but nothing is working. all im trying to run is alternate start and weapon mod kits, it crashes during the character creation section usually I have reinstalled multiple times and tried both fallout 3 fixer and patcher just like video guides say to fix FOSE after the recent steam update. it has been months since the update but FOSE seems to be out of date because it does not recognize the current fallout 3 version. is it the script extenders fault or do i need to change my game version? if so how?

You need to use the Anniversary Patcher specifically. It'll downgrade the game to the previous version which is compatible with FOSE.

^ this, what has happened is that in October of last year Bethesda Released an updated labelled 1.7.04 on Steam.

This does two things, it removes GFWL (Games for Windows Live)
Updates the Compiler to VS2019.

Due to this, it has broken Fallout Script Editor, It's not to do with Windows 11 if you are getting the CRC = D32e228B error's, its due to the update.

Jej has given you the fix for it, this SHOULD roll back the Steam version to the one compatible, just make sure you right click on FO3 and click manage/properties and disable keep game up to date

I used the downgrader and it still will not work with FOSE

Same here. I recently got a decent PC(i712700-RTX 3060) and even using the anniversary patcher it won't work. I did fresh installs, using steam ver. I also double checked the version of the exe. The anniversary patcher DID change it however I still get the same message. Any advice would be appreciated. I really want to thank Bethesda for "fixing" or "patching" fallout 3 in 2021. Way to knock another one out of the park. Stay away from New Vegas please.

The patch isn't worth the trouble of installing it. None of this crap is.

Bethesda recently patched fallout 3 to like 1.7.0.4 or something which broke fose since fose has to be updated for every version and no one is maintaining fose anymore.
