[POSSIBLE FIX FOR FALLOUT 3] [Fixed Mine] XLIVE.DLL

For those of you who run into the error popup when launching Fallout 3, or cannot launch it, or cannot run Fallout 3.exe in the files and run into a missing xlive.dll file, I have found a fix which solved my problem and allowed me to launch Fallout 3 harmlessly.

The main problem I had was trying to find a GFWL install file, to get the missing files Fallout 3 needs. But Microsoft completely disbanded GFWL support and removed all downloads for it on their website. So officially you cannot get any xlive.dll file because it is removed and unsupported by Microsoft. But there are DLL archives, which host many different dlls online for free and many of these hold the dll file we need.

To get it, search online on something like google for DLL Archive, try something like dll - files . Once in the website on the searchbar search for xlive.dll. Once you find the file click on it and look for the download button. Download it and make sure it isn't malicious and a true version of the file. Once downloaded bring the dll file into your Fallout 3 directory, the one with all the fallout3.exe and the data files. Then, launch it from steam normally. Then ignore the warning popup. Enjoy

Great idea dude.

I went to https://www.dll-files.com/xlive.dll.html and downloaded the latest version.
Put the DLL in the Fallout map and presto.

Awesome, time fore some old school gaming.

Quick word of warning! Ive tried it and it works, but for some of u, if u install too many mods. Your FOSE launcher will crash and so far i have yet to find a fix for it. Honestly ive given up and will probably go back to playing FNV. But anyways some of u who have tried this method may face the same issue as i have, i got it to work yesterday but it went right back to crashing. Gd luck

There is a fix for that.
Originally there is an engine bug where Fallout 3 will crash (regardless of FOSE) at around 140-180 plugin mods. This mod raises that to the correct limit of 255 plugins. Along with some nice performance boosting and reducing loading times.
