AFAIK GFWL has been defunct for a long time, but all you need it for is simply to recognise a dll file, you don't even need to use it.
Can you link a youtube video that works.
I'm only saying it might be the issue. You can download the latest .net framework from microsoft. That may fix the problem of installing GFWL.

Bethseda arn't very good at updating their games even the classics like this one. That coupled with the lack of backwards compatability of older games on new Windows OS means if you want to play games like this it takes effort and a lot of messing around with files and settings.

The irony is you have to have GFWL there to be ignored. The problem is that the game needs a dll from GFWL to run, even if it is then disabled.
