Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Broken Steel doesn't start
So I know when you have Broken Steel installed and you complete the final quest to turn on the purifier, you're suppose to go unconcious and spawn inside the citadel. But when I finish the quest, the standard end credits appear, and instead of me starting at the new location or even returning the main menu. The game resumes and puts me back where I was before with the standard end game quest showing as complete but no new quests or anything. I am using like 3-4 mods. Anyone able to help?

Mods used:
FWE (I have all the modules/plugins for the DLC enabled)
FOSE
Archive Invalidator
Fallout 3 Re-Animated

EDIT:

I uninstalled FWE and the DLC starts right up. Something for some unknown reason stopped my character from entering the animation where he passes out inside the purifier. Removing one or all of these mods fixed the issue. And now I have received the correct ending and the DLC started up fine.

Did you select the data files in the beginning?

Yep they were enabled in the optional menu but I use the FOSE launcher, which ignores this menu. But the other dlcs are available so I don't think the fose launcher is the problem

Use mods at your own risk. I have heard so many horror stories about what mods do to your vanilla game I have never once been tempted to use one.

Necro this post as didn't see it said myself. I had issues with FWE not launching Broken Steel also. Narrowed it down to a problem with the load order of the mods. Didn't have to disable them persay. Recommended order per FWE instruction resolved me just waking back up in the purifier room in error: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/2761?tab=description
