I Need Help Completing a Bugged Modded Quest

So I downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21172?tab=description and when I came to the "Lost Data" quest, I had already purchased Biwwy's Wazer Wifle and sold it but the quest requires me to acquire it, with no way of, obviously getting it https://imgur.com/a/WtCvmHV. I tried using some console commands but they didn't work. Please help and thank you.

Look at the ID of the quest and in the console type questID setstage XXX where XXX the stage where you give the rifle to Dr zimmerman.
The ID of the quest varies with the number of mods installed so you have to find it with FO3edit or the geck with all mods loaded.

If you only need to give any wazer wifle to the Dr then try player.additem 61793 1 in the console. But I don't know how the quest is written and what it the completion condition, if you have to "acquire it from biwwy" or simply handle a wazer wifle to the Doctor.

Otherwise explain the problem to the modder and he will provide a solution. with 25000 downloads you are probably not the first who made this mistake.

thank you for your response and i also have to say something about the console, i searched up the quest's id on the mod page which is (i think) aascientistfetchquest so i typed in console setstage aascientistfetchquest 70 (the stage after giving him biwwy's wifle) but it did not work. i will try adding the wazer wifle and if it won't work, i will contact you and tell you if the mod dev responded to me (after checking if i can just add the wifle)

update: adding the item didn't work not because the scientist did not accept it, but because i physically did not get the item into my inventory
