why is big town empty?

so i found big town and did the quest and then spoke to some girl (she said somthing about putting a hex on me) saved the 2 guys that were taken by the supermutants and then i left after speaking to red andto the hex girl agian after that i left did some quests and came back every one was gone and 4 supermutants attacked me and there is no one in the town any more

They must've all died if the super mutants were there and attacked you.

After you rescue Red, she asks you to stay for a bit and protect them from super mutants. This is optional. If you protect them, they don't die. I think since you did some quests, they got killed because you didn't protect them.

yeah i poked around google and found that out but also found a way to bring them all back but i havent found timebomb yet but most of them are back and now bittercup give me food sometimes XD

How did you get them back? I cannot get them to show up. I am afraid slavers got them in my game.

Now, I completed that quest, I fixed up the robots and got thanked by Red... I return later to find the town deserted, apart from the robots, still killing any super mutant that approaches. wtf?
