Where is the Bailey in the Citadel?
Hi there, I've just been offered by Elder Lyons to have power armour training with corporal gunner in the Bailey but I can't find it anywhere. I've been wondering around the Citadel (nice Half-Life 2 reference!) for an hour, now.

Central courtyard where the Brotherhood soldiers are training, he's a guy out there. A bailey is an enclosed courtyard:

Honestly, they should've just called it the courtyard, no idea why Bethesda thought an American post-war setting would be the right place to have a European-style term like this.

Is it a European word? I am British, i've never heard the term the Bailey before. I thought it was a part of the building, like the naive in a chapel. That's really cleared things up for me, thanks!
I almost got fed up and left for vault 87 without the power armour training, but then I thought better of it and reloaded the saved game where I was in the Citadel again. Can't wait to have power armour! I'm thinking it's like the HEV suit from Half-Life, or the Nano suit from Crysis. Probably not, though! That would require too much extra coding for an already massive and complex game.
Thanks so much, I need all the help I can get against the Enclave troopers as well.

Edit: Also, curiously, it doesn't count as a part of a quest, so there was no waypoint marker on the map, which would have cleared up any confusion.

It's a medieval term from the old castle days (I linked it in my last post) :)

And yeah... power armour's really just another type of armour in this game. Fallout 4 makes a much bigger deal of it and makes it more powerful like it was in the original Fallouts.

Also, assuming you have the DLC, Anchorage gives you power armour training once you complete it, in the event you ever do another play-through and want the training without having to advance the main story a bunch first.

Personally, I was a bit underwhelmed with F3's power armour. Didn't find it was worth the weight, and expense to repair. Just my worthless opinion, YMMV.

Yeah, I've just noticed the movement penalty...not good.
