Point Lookout was a huge disappointment [SPOILERS]
So I finished Point Lookout and gotta say...I really liked the swampy marshland atmosphere, the crazed hillbillies, the way the houses look like out in the bayou, the swamp gas and all that.

But in terms of story, the DLC just sucked. I liked all the side quests, like going after that Chinese spy, and also the main quest involving the church and the two villains, but the one I found most interesting was the one where you retrieve audio logs from the muck holes to hear a researcher say there is so much natural gas here, and then there's a log in the computer of the Ossymandias ship where some mysterious organization instructs to dispose of her because she is not allowed to find out the secret of Point Lookout's "Bloody Past"

...but this mission never resolves and as a reward you only get access to a locker full of supplies.

Same with the guy in the mansion looking for the evil book. No resolution, you either give it to him and watch him pray in his basement, or take it back to the CW and destroy it in a building.

I feel like Point Lookout's story was never really told in the DLC. Just the story of two bad guys trying to kill each other.

the scrapped story of point lookout was going to be about some sort of family curse connecting to that cursed book and you would have to send a letter to this old guys relative as the first quest i think

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
