so rory wont stop following me, EVEN THOUGH I TOOK HIM TO THE GATES, is there a console command to fix this?, i know the promt for him to start the dialogue is the "say greeting" command, but it only gives me the "what?" dialogue

AND NOW HIS DIALOGUE IS JUST "talk fast" like he is in moriorities, WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ DO I DO. he wont stop following me

This is why I never rescue Rory. I just tell him to make a break for it and let him get mowed down by the slavers. If he somehow manages to survive he only has generic NPC dialog anyway so he was never meant to be a story character after that mission. He's just supposed to leave and get a job clearing tables at Moriarty's.

I suppose if you wanted to have pity on him you could try bringing him there, but honestly the wasteland is a cold and inhospitable place and Rory is the least of my problems. I'm not Uber so it's not my job to deliver him anywhere.

Or (if you nuked Megaton) I suppose you could just kill him or bring him someplace where he'll die pretty quick, like Old Olney or the yao guai tunnels so he can fulfill his destiny of becoming chow for mutants.

I don't think you (and people like you) understand, most people to the wikipedia first, this is the LAST PLACE most people look for info since the fandom wikipedia and gamepedia of fallout has a list of bugs and normally fixes. Linking the wikipedia, or copy and pasting from the wiki almost never helps, especially if you dont read the list of bugs in the post that the wiki doesn't solve
