is the game crashing every 5 minutes happen to everyone?

H...how in the hell are you using NVAC in Fallout 3? It requires NVSE, which is only made for New Vegas.

Unless you are referring to TTW and not vanilla Fallout 3.

Mine never crashes you need to find the right fix. This is due to fo3 not working well with multi core cpu's. It's an old game designed for single cpu's

Fix the .ini file by adding the two lines of code that limit CPU cores to 2.

Also delete unofficial patch from the "Ultimate guide", the game becomes more buggy and thats how it stopped crashing for me.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the unofficial patch causes crashing. If you have other mods, it could be interfering with those, which would be a mod conflict.

I highly doubt the unofficial patch has and way to make your game more unstable. The purpose of it is to improve game stability, make sure it's at the top of your load order but under the main game files and dlc. It be as Nephi said, another mode causeing the issues due to combatability or just the mod itself. I didn't have to tweak the .ini files too much myself for it to be stable but i did download a couple of mods that may have made those changes for me, they are as follows:

--->ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated - Program Version - Recommended (if you play with mods this is a must have)

--->Fallout Stutter Remover - FSR_4-1-36 (helps remove game stutter)

--->fose_v1_2_beta2 (needed to run some mods)

--->Large Address Aware Enabler for FO3 (Needed if you you are playing fallout 3 on a high end machine with lots of RAM. Allows the game to utilize it. Also helps prevent crashing.)

Those are the only modes that aren't texture or adding content to the game and that's all i downloaded an added to my game without needing to edit .ini files to much. Along with other reseloutions you should find a way to get the game to run. You can also try running the game as admin in windows.

I've already donw all of those, but what's the two lines of code that limit the cpu to 2?

Use the ini file I posted in the guide section. It will solve all your configuration problems. And don't dare to say it doesn't work

And remove everything else. If you applied the 4GB patch already you don't need ANYTHING ELSE. And the game will run for days without crashing
I seriously wonder if it is worth to post anything people don't even read.
If you didn't patch the executable here is the link once more. I swear it is the last time I post it : https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371
If you can read you see how simple it is. Nothing fancy, just a flag
well it doesn't work for everyone, you cant say it's people not reading. I've gone through all the steps like 5 times and still get constant crashes

maybe get off your high horse for a second and doon't assume people are doing things wrong and instead just take our word for it that it isn't working

Hmm gonna have to try that out. I was under the impression that NVAC only worked with Fallout NV and NVSE. I've been modding both games for years and this is the first I've ever heard of this. Did a little research and yes, apparently that may work. You don't have as many features according to this post, but it does work.

Thanks for that recommendation. :)

How the **** am I supposed to know which mod is not compatible with Unofficial patch? I use the most popular mods, the ones with the most downloads on nexusmods dot com.

I deleted everything and just play vanilla now

Its important to understand what mods may conflict with other mods. I've used the unofficial patch for years in conjunction with dozens of other mods and never had any problems with it.
