Problems with FWE

So, when I try installing FWE via the Nexus it says that the archive invalidation wasn't active, however it is. I click "no" to aborting it and then this message pops up: "application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy." Then, when I try to hit continue, it just installs infinitely without progressing. Halp

The only good fallout game is NV , Sadly Bethdesa still puts out lousey follow up games that are full of BUGS ! EVEN worse STEAM still sells them even if they are unplayable $$$$$ not caps are what is at the heart of this problem !

that is a poor assessment db51. FO3 came BEFORE FONV and is a good game in itself in many folks opinions. Not at all 'unplayable' ..

Tripst3r, I play FWE and have no problems, but your archive invalidation thing might be because you have not modified the .ini file, changed the bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to =1 perhaps? just a surmise. There is a little mod on Nexus that might help...

The Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch (Updated) automatically activates the ArchiveInvalidation.txt as well as fixes a whole host of other things in the game that Bethesda didn't get around to in their official patches.

It isn't a mod per se, but I would recommend using it alongside FWE and any other mods you install over the base game.

yes, I second that - I also have the patch and the only problems I get with the game is when I want to come out of it, it does not always exit as it should. In-game it is fine.

pawzisme I often get that problem with Oblivion. The game crashing a lot of the time as I try to exit to Windows. It's almost as if it's having a tantrum because I don't want to play any more.

ahh.. maybe I will put Oblivion on again ( haven't played it for years) and see what happens though, come to think of it, I don't think I gots the Steam version... and then I would have to load Obscuro's mod and other stuff to get it how I like... (thinks..maybe I won't bother..) :)
