Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Will mods work with the GOG version?
I ask this because I hear the GOG version isnt broken liek the steam version, and I'm sick of the steam version constantly and randomly crashing.

I don't know, I use the steam version and it never crashes on me, it only crashes when some mods turn out to not be compatible when I start the game up.

Then yes it should, I still use windows 8 and fallout 3 works just fine with mods and on steam

The only difference between the GOG and Steam version Is that the gog version has:
- No GFWL
- The "4GB" patch installed by default
- The Unofficial Patch installed by default
It's better, imo.

The only way it could be "better" is to someone that doesn't know how to download and install those three mods. The GOG version and Steam version are the exact same game once those mods are added to the Steam version.

Erm.no?
Removing GFWL, or even installing It is an extra step, plus the fact that it auto configs for you and does the necessary tweaks.
The GOG version is already vastly superior getting rid of the nuiscances.

When it comes to consumers, you want It to work out of the box, rather than having to do things to get it to work to begin with.
Just saying.

OH NO!!!!! An extra button click to install GfWL! It's such a huge hassle! I don't know how people are able to take that cumbersome step of moving their mouse slightly and clicking a button! Wow, you're so right, that is such a huge difference.

You're a lesser fish in a sea of consumers, you hardly add any weight with your sarcastic, meaningless reply.

One thing that was missed during this entire exchange of swinging digital d**ks was the answer to the original question. Will mods work when using the Gog version of the game. The understanding that the person asking is using a version of windows that has proven to be incompatible with the game and was using the Gog game to try to solve the problem should have been obvious to such digital wonders as yourselves. Perhaps you could lay your egos aside long enough to answer the question. I won't state the obvious that someone asking the question might not know what Gfwl means. Please don't take what I have said personally, it is not my intent to trigger any sensitivities.

GOG version is a real Fallout 3. Meaning it will accept mods. No problem. Mods have NOTHING to do with Steam.
