So who's the TRUE leader of the Enclave?

I was always kinda confused on who the real leader of the Enclave is. At first everyone's like "ooo let's follow President Eden cuz he's kool" then the Colonel Autumn's all like "nooo dont follow him follow me cuz I'm better" then everyone else's like "oo let's follow the Colonel even tho Eden has complete control over Raven Rock and could probably set off a self destruct mode killing all of us" and even then during broken steel AFTER Raven Rock's been destoryed everyone's like "FOR DA PRESIDENT!!!!!!111!1!1" even tho they stopped caring about him....

The Enclave soldiers didn't know Autumn was betraying Eden. if you ask Eden about it he says that he could easily order the soldiers to stand down again but doing so would reveal that Autumn purposely went behind Eden's back which would badly damage Enclave unity and moral. Even then Autumn still claims to be loyal to Eden, he only did what he did because he didn't trust anyone else alone with the president.

The Enclave soldiers don't know that Eden is really a super Computer. They think he's a REAL president who they just never meet for security reasons. Autumn is the only one who knows the truth, Which is why Eden can't order the soldiers to arrest him, And why he needs Autumn to interact with them.

For people who haven't played the game before they may not know that there is this power struggle going on, also it reveals story plot. And what e you do that it's a nice thing to put on a spoiler tag.

The title of the thread doesn't reveal anything. What does it reveal? That the Enclave have A leader? anyone could of figured that out.

But what could they really have done though? You were supposed to die in the purifier but so many people complained that you couldn't play passed the ending that they had to undo it even though it hurt the whole "cradle to grave" aspect of the narrative. Also Fallout takes place in a very over-the-top cartoon sci-fi world so I don't think scientific realism is really all that important.

You can have a ghoul follower and a super mutant follower and they both refuse to activate it. So dumb.

Not sure what Charon says but if you tell Fawkes to do it pre-BS then he says it's your destiny not his, this fits with the more philosophical part of his character.

It's still BS. He's basically telling your it's your fate to go Die of Radiation poisoning. Made me wish I had left him locked in that vault.
