Radiation question
hello
does radiation/being irradiated damage the suit you have currently equipped?

It doesn't, it only has an effect on your health. Combat damages your suit, not radiation.

I knew about combat, but I wasn't sure about the radiation. Thanks. Does the same apply to New Vegas?

Yes. I'm not sure why you'd think that radiation would have effect on your suit frankly, that's not how it works in real life either. It only affects organic tissue, and maybe electronics.

In Stalker the way they balance the environmental suits is that they take damage while being in anomalies and radiation. Fallout is somewhat similar and the suit is preventing a kind of damage so it seems like a good question to me.
No only combat damage seems to hurt armor.

In games, you never know. Thanks for the answer. One last question, I know that the more a suit is damaged, the less it can protect from damage, but does it also protect less from radiation? would a 1% repaired Advanced Radiation Suit still offer +40 Rad protection like a fully repaired one?

In STALKER, standing in an irradiated place itself doesn't wear out your suit, even if your health is decreasing. Anomalies do damage it, though.

Rad resistance is a constant effect, it will never change regardless of the condition of the suit. That only determines how much damage you can suffer during combat.

Good, thanks.
