Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Any recommendation on how to shut down Fallout 3 once crash?
Been playing it fine, but it does have random hard crash. The problem is, hard to get out of it since when open task manager, can't see or do it since the game screen block it. So I had to sign out which is annoying. I did try many normal shut down methods, so far, none has worked. So any reommendation on how to shut it down without having to sign out and back in repeatedly?

Or else you could also try using Ctrl + F4. That's supposed to shut down any active process that's running, though I've discovered that it doesn't always work.

Try to Alt Tab out of it. Press alt and tab at the same time. Then, select the task manager.

If that does not work, then I think you can get the same effect by pressing the Windows key.
Ok thanks

I tried that, didn't work.

What I did is open Task Manager and go to options, and select 'Always on top'. That way, when your game freezes and you open up task manager, it is on top of everything and you can select the Fallout 3 application and end it.

Alternatively, (though pointless if using the above) I've found that if the game freezes, you can press Windows key+Tab, select 'New Desktop', and open up Task Manager from the new desktop to close the frozen Fallout 3 application.

Another way is to open TM (but you can't see it) mouse over the task bar icon (for TM) press up arrow then delete key - ends the process.

Thank you, will try that. For some reason, now on, haven't had a hard crash so kinda weird.
