Fallout Wanderers Edition and Weapon Mod Kits
Doing a playthrough with these two (among others) mods installed. Some of the options in fwe are nice, but there are other things which seem odd. I do like that the game is a lot more challenging now, but it's the random and illogical stuff that really bugs me.

Is there no way to repair something to 100%? I always tag repair and get it to 100 as quickly as possible, but with fwe it's telling me I can't repair anything past 75%. No matter if I use repair kits, other weapons, cleaner, or anything else.

And with WMK, why is it when I use a mod kit on a weapon, it's damage goes down? I'd assume something like a laser sight on the Chinese Assault Rifle would make it a little more accurate. Yet, when you look at the weapon statistics window, damage per shot is drastically decreased?!

Do you have:
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/4968 ?
You need the FWE and weapon mod kits version.

If you don't have this, then the FWE damage values on weapons will be overriden by the WMK damage values, since as far as fallout 3 is concerned, the modified weapons are entirely seperate weapons.

Yeah, got that, and following their recommended load order on the page. Could it be something with the load order? Here's mine: http://i.imgur.com/Y7RgdYR.jpg

Tried changing some things earlier and starting a new game, but it didn't make a difference. And I checked the nexus forum for WMK and didn't see anything regarding this. Not a huge issue for me, but would've liked to have use some extented mag kits.

So many freaking guns in FWE though, sheesh. :)

You didn't mention that you have RH ironsights. That is the problem here. try using this:

I can't personally speak for how well it will work, but a quick google search should be able to give you further instructions on how to get them working together nicely if this doesn't work.

Also, if you think FWE has a lot of guns you've clearly never experienced the joy that is Apocalypse Armory. Too bad Nexus removed it for no reason. You can still get a hold of it though. Google is very much your friend.

Well hot damn, that plugin for RH/WMK worked. Thank you very much for the link! Looked at a few different guides discussing mods before I installed these, I hadn't seen that get mentioned at all. Thanks again.

Haha, I don't know if I'd be able to handle that mod yet. I was used to the handful of weapons the vanilla game had, this is the first time with FWE and it's making my head spin. Every time I loot a raider's body it feels like I find a new weapon. Then again it is fun going out and trying all the different weapons.

Craftable weapons can be fully repaired anywhere with spare parts. Common weapons can only be repaired to 100% when near a workbench, even when your repair skill is at 100. Didn't realize workbenches had an affect on repair skill even when you're at 100 repair. But, found out differently.

Anyone else have problems getting FOMM to install mods correctly?

Another issue I've been having is missing textures on some weapons and armors that are new via FWE. I installed FWE through the package manager in FOMM and figured everything was fine. Now the missing textures have gotten too annoying so I'm looking into it, I see that the missing textures weren't installed. I thought that was the whole point of using the package manager. The textures are there, in the correct spot in the mod files, but they were never copied over to the game directory.

Personally, I always enjoyed FOOK 2.
I like weapon mods a lot, but I don't like complete game changers, and Fook 2's changes are at least optional for the most part.

The game's challenging enough even on Easy against Talon mercs unless you get really absurd sniper rifle loot. :)

something may be wrong with your fomm installation perhaps, I never had any problem with it. I play with fwe and modkits, ironsights and a bunch of other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which was a nightmare to get working together,. Try installing modkits manually once you have all of the fwe and iron sights assets stable and working together. I see you re using eve, from what I remember it had some compatibility problems with either wmk, fwe, rh or a combination of those. I haven't used eve myself so can't tell for sure but try disabling it and see how the rest works. Also have you toggled archive invalidation in the fallout directory? The fomm one can be buggy sometimes.
