F1 2013 PC Patch #2

Today sees our second PC Patch available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2013. We will update this topic once the patch goes live (today).

PC FPS Issues:
We’ve made further improvements to the PC FPS issue whereby higher specification PC’s had a considerable lap time advantage over lower ones. The difference now should be negligible and should allow fair competition between all players. Again we are aware this is a hot topic and will continue to monitor the forums for feedback once this fix is live.

At 30+ FPS the track will now rubber in.

Minor Fixes:
In Online Custom Races AI cars that have retired will now be removed from the track correctly.

Improved AI replication on high latency / low bandwidth connections in Online Custom Races.

Corrected Professional and Expert AI difficulty on Sakhir (Bahrain) & Monza.

Fixed an issue where on certain hardware all menus would be black.

Force feedback settings have been tweaked to remedy the mid corner ‘dropout’ that some players were reporting.

The above fixes (where relevant) for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are currently being tested and verified. These require additional submission and authorisation from Microsoft and Sony so the release date for these will follow a little later than the PC version.

Still the spinning car, audio and FPS bug don't get compeltely fixed. Thy've just reverted fps bug to how it was in 2012 :/

For me it feels like the driving model (physics) are set back to F1 2012. I now have way more understeering in corners. But i only tested with a new career in a marussia. But now the old setup from f1 2012 works again. Btw. first i noticed is understeer and second there is no bottom out ... same as in f1 2012 ... so far, the rubbering is cool and the tyre wear is reduced. Also it seems i get more grip if the track rubbers in.

Me gustaria saber si los juegos los prueban de salir a la venta? En la version de pc , independientemente de la dificultad escogida , hay circuitos como Sepang o Monaco en que la IA del resto de pilotos hace que se estrellen en pocas vueltas, teniendo que hacer la carrera uno solo. Sino miren en la curva de salir después del tunel en Mónaco. EL año pasado fue er ciruito de Valencia , este año le ha tocado a Mónaco. Saquen un parche para arreglar esto.

What's the problem there? I've changed the Hotkey for the Steam Interface to "STRG + ^" (showed as CTRL+\) ... got no Problems so far.

i noticed done monza 50 percent race and it had is on a 3 stop first stop was on lap 6 and the a1 pitted same time but i could of easly done another 67 laps it shouldent be a 3 stop for a 50 per race 2 maybe while some try 1 and the quali was daft for the laptimes in q3 the was a 4 and a half sec gap from 1st to 10 th i have got a couple of mods on my game so i dont no if it was something to do with them but i dont think it is because the are only visuals nothing to do with the a1 the only one that i can think of is i have the custom difficiuly and more grip so i dont no

another thing i want to no does the patch auticmaly get put into the game wen the are released or do the install wen u launch the game cause i no on 2012 the installed wen i loaded the game but on this one the game just loads up as normal and wen i done a fresh install it never said anything about updateing game or and i have never seen a yello9w flag or safety car at all an d im upto monza on 1st season

Soundbug is still existing, in an online lobby it happens simultaniously to every driver on the track. Just had a race in suzuka and every driver suffered from up to 7 or 8 sounddrops per lap, all at the same time...

fps bug is also still there and horrible, now you're around half a second faster with 30 fps than with 60, 120fps makes you slower another 3-4 tenths.

cars seem to be pretty equal, but it needs further testing to be sure.

ghosting of cars in online is still existing, including lags increasing with the top speed of the car.

poor connections between drivers from the same country.

the cam just stayed in the position of the starting grid. he could drive, but did not see where he was going..

I was thinking the same thing. Lots of understeer all of a sudden.

It doesn't work for me, it's a common problem in both GRID2 and F1 2013 when played on Windows 8.1. Other than that, it works fine.
