help changing tires

Hi all how do you change what you are going to do on a pit stop.ie change the tire compound?
All help appreciated. Thank you

You normally set this up in your garage pre-race. Look at the guy on your right while in the car and computer is on top your hood. But you can also use the d-pad in-race and tell your pit crew to switch to a different compound than the one previously selected if it starts raining or whatnot.

use your d-pad to change the tires while racing, if your in garage then just move your camera to the left side of the cockpit.

I use a steering wheel, whats a D-Pad?

it's been around for a few years now i guess, the directional-pad. Normally colored black, it is on the left side of the controller signified by the up, down, left, right buttons. If you have a fanatec or g27, for instance, you already have one on your wheel. If not goto the button config and change there or prolly uses the arrow keys on the keyboard for all i know.

But can't you use a keyboard too? I've never raced with my keyboard so I don't know.

Thank you all for your help, I finally figured it out. On the keyboard you have to hit 1 to pull up choice, then1,2,3 for tires gas or pit. then 1,2,3,4 for tyre choice. LOL
