I think thats the usual response I've seen when people are having issues with a corrupt save game. Must be a pretty comon issue with codemasters titles.
It's unfotunate because I had just finished the qualifying for Sao Paulo running the whole season on Expert @ 50% race distance... IN A WILLIAMS... I feel as if I should go outside and enjoy the rest of my life as doing this over again would take me ages.
Also if you go into your savegame file (G:\Steam\userdata\*********\223670\remote) you can backup your 'corrupted' save game (e.g. ~User/documents/Backupf1folder) ,
Start f1 up, delete and start a new game, back out of the game,
You should now have a fresh set of 'savegame@profile~' files in your ((G:\Steam\userdata\*********\223670\remote)) folder , I would recommend backing this folder up somewhere aswell so that you have it in the future while you attempt to find the corrupted files.
you can then go in and drag and drop files one by one from your 'corrupted backup' (~User/documents/Backupf1folder) into (G:\Steam\userdata\*********\223670\remote) and launch the game inbetween each individual file transfer, if you are able to load your 'new' Save Profile without recieving the "this save game is corrupt and will be deleted" that certain file isn't corrupted.
Continue to do this until you find the file or files that cause the corruption and delete them from your backup (~User/documents/Backupf1folder). You may be able to retreive the entire save game but at the least might be able to get your race results back.
I just gave up and deleted the game, So dissapointed with codemasters pulling the same ♥♥♥♥ time and time again and ruining licences. Even sony weren't this bad!
I'd honestly try out the True Life AI mod, Drive for the team you want, and the racing is so much more realistic.
So damn annoying when youve dorve 40 points home on legendary with Caterham! (and no assists)
Hahahaha, I know the feels... Try doing the same and driving for Marussia
