And my wheel doesn't work properly in this even though it's supported, which kills it
People complained about this issue in Project CARS, too. Most players simply lack the awareness that's necessary for racing. Just being fast doesn't make you good at games like this.
2013 AI literally can't overtake you. They always chicken out in braking zones when you are near them, it's just boring to drive against them.
I don't mind that the 2016 AI is more aggresive, but when I have to restart a race 20 times in less than 10 minutes because the AI pushes me off the track, in the barrier, in the rear constantly, then something is drastically wrong with it.
Even the 2010 AI, despite being dreadfully slow, has more awareness and takes 6 different lines to defend/overtake instead of the single line that's supposedly possible to code for 2016 AI.
All in all, the 2016 AI reminds me the GRID AI, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rubbish in player awareness.
Either way, most annoying part is the wheel support. Using it is just frustrating in 2013. It makes pointless snapping movements in slow corners, have fun in wet conditions with that unplayable crap. Works perfectly in 2015 and 2016 and that already makes it a LOT more enjoyable.
Here's an example of driver awareness to avoid colissions.
It was my first attempt at a start (a bad one, I admit) after someone claimed that it's literally impossible to make a start without getting crashed out by the AI on that track specifically.
And it's not the wheel support, it might just be you that makes pointless snapping movements in slow corners.
The likelyhood is that you're not aware of their position, instead of vice-versa. I have the occasional issue, where they may cut across me when I'm going for an overtake that I really shouldn't, or if you're 4 wide into the first corner on Russia, not good xD
You may be able to grab a key from one of the key code sites if you look around,
I've done that with a few titles that got removed from the Steam store before I bought it.
