Problems with the Sound

So I got BRINK in the Beth Bundle 2 years ago, and never got around to playing it. I installed it today, and found that the sound for it will not play through my headphones, and instead go through the speakers. In addition, sound from all other sources plays through the speakers. I checked the "audio settings" and all there were was volume. Any help?

Did all sounds come from the speakers while the headphones were plugged in? Cause it sounds like perhaps your headphone jack is broken, or you didn't have the connection firm

I actually ended up fixing it by unplugging my headphones, launching the game, then when I reached the main menu, plugging them back in. At any rate, I know for a FACT that they aren't broken; they can still play, it just has problems with BRINK. I'm using Beats Audio for my comp, and it's a pain in the ASS a lot of the time. I know that the problem isn't the headphones, it's the sound card/program/thingamajig due to previous experiences.
