Game won't start
When I launch the game through steam a brink window pops and instantly closes. No error received. I tryied verifying the game files and closing all other applications. I also tryied using a config tool I found online but as the game never actually launched it has no config file.

Same problem, my OS is Windows 7 btw, might be the problem. Compatibility switch to XP didn`t help anyway.

I use Windows 10 btw but I don't think that's too relevant.

Same here, spash screen pops up (sometimes twice) but executable never actually runs.

Funny how i can run every pirated version (only with the 30fps listen server :S), but not the Steam one.

really wishing i could play this again with true 60fps. 30 is just horrid.

EDIT: config i used solved my issue:
Launch options: +com_allowconsole 1 +seta r_useThreadedRenderer 2
Set compatibility to windows 7, run as administrator
disable steam overlay
RESTART STEAM
mine seemed to work after this for some reason, please try and report back on results :P

despite it's problems this was a very fun game and i'd hate to see it die again after the recent influx of players because of incompatability issues.

I really hope they sort their ♥♥♥♥ out. This is quite embarrassing for a 6 year old game.

Then again, it's something that can be expected of a 6 year old game.

not too many developers offer support for a 6 year old game, unless it's still a cash crop (definitely not in BRINKs case.)

Indeed, however they just re-released it as f2p so I think some degree of support should be expected.

true, but it's not like they're introducing any sort of microtransactions for the game, therefore any effort spent on support for a game that is completely free is a loss of manpower to them. it'd be nice if they did, but we can't really act entitled and expect it from them.

nope, still didnt work on me...
I'm on Quest 3. For me, it helped running SteamVR via Oculus Air Link, NOT via Steam Link or Virtual Desktop. This seems to avoid problems with several other games as well.
