Paradise Lost Thursday->Friday loss of inventory items (THE CURE)

Alright... yesterday I was really planning to go through the PL DLC. I did a lot of bad stuff to many ppl in the game and finally went to cure my stupid dog in the hell hole.

When the battle began I realized that the cure syringe is ♥♥♥♥ing gone. I was pretty much ♥♥♥♥ed up. I though that I accidentally dropped it somehwere (as I was trying to befriend the lucifer dogs under the ganesh store (with no luck)).

So yeah, today I repeated the whole Thursday and Friday missions like a baus (also planted the virgin seeds to listen to some nice moaning) and I noticed that the syringe disappeared right when Friday started. I have a save from few steps away from the loading zone which starts Friday and the syringe is there, but when I wake up in the ♥♥♥♥-taliban base the next morning the syringe and stilts are gone.

This renders it completely impossible to cure the ♥♥♥♥ing k9 in the hell hole and proceed... not to mention that the C4 bomb I got from the ♥♥♥♥-talibans also disappears right after the cinematic which shows how the postal 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows the hell hole open in front of me.

I'm confused... did I missed some major plot here or this is some kind of a horrific bug...

I play on Linux. If that matters.

Could you send me the save file in which you still have the syringe? You can upload it to Filedropper/Dropbox or whichever file sharing site you prefer.

We've encountered this bug once, but weren't able to reproduce it. You are the only one to encounter it since launch. I'd really appreciate the save file.

Saves are located in the .lgp folder. You'll have to press CRTL+H In the home folder to see it. (/.lgp/postal2/Save)

Lastly, what kind of distro do you use?

Alright.. so.. I was unable to identify the exact save, because I have two saves from the same minute (Thursday and then Friday). I have uploaded both to a private server, because my Dropbox is full... I hope that isn't a problem for you, otherwise I could move them elsewhere.

The saves are:

They were in .lgp/postal2/PLSave, but I've figured that out quickly, because I guess PL stands for Paradise Lost :)

The strange thing is that I have replayed the entire Thursday twice and the bug happened both times... So maybe it is something that happened previously... idk...

Also the game crashes a lot, especially when an auto save event occurs (like level transition) so I pump F5 a lot.. for example, the only way I was able to pass the cinematic in the Cemetary, when the cow guy recruits me, was to Easy Save (F5) few meters before the Cinematic begins, otherwise the game crashed, like 10 times in a row.. The easy save kinda fixed whatever was wrong there... This happens much more often than with Postal 2 and Apocalypse Weekend.

I use openSUSE Leap 42.1 (x86_64).

I will be happy to provide any more information (if needed) or any other help (if possible). Being a developer myself I admire the brilliant work you guys did and I'm really excited to complete this DLC, my 5 remaining achievements, and to wait for new DLCs :)

Thank you so much for the response. Hopefully, we'll find a way to reproduce it.

If the game crashes consistently in a certain area, make sure to post a crash report on the forums. It'll help us narrow down the problem and prevent the game from crashing. Sometimes the game can crash if there are any corrupt/missing files etc.

Lastly, what's your specs?

MB: Asus B150M-A
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K
GFX: nVidia GeForce GTX 650 with 340.96 drivers (it's a spare gfx card that was wondering around the office, I use it for 1 month now, and before that I was running on the integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 as it's fairly decent)
RAM: Corsair 2x8GB DDR4 2133MHz
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
HDD: 2TB WD Purple
DISPLAY: DELL P2414H

LINUX KERNEL: 4.1.15-8-default

The system runs on btrfs and the home and data partitions are on xfs. The steam data directory is on a separate partition (on HDD) and the home is on the SSD.

I would be happy to help, if you need any additional information, for example shared libraries versions or etc.

I too am stuck with the dog on Friday, and the syringe I had Thursday is gone.

Playing on POSTAL MODE as I'm trying to get the achievement, so as you know, saving is limited to 1 (easy save) per area, so the only 3 saved files I have for this entire week are all from Friday (easy save, auto save & check point).

I can make the save files available to you if you can somehow "insert" the syringe into them, as I have spent many hours (days) of play getting to this point on POSTAL MODE.

EDIT:

So, managed to find one of the saves where I could walk back to the vending machines, continue until a new check point was reached, turn around and get the intro to the "dog cure" place, whereafter I now had the syringe.

Dog "fixed" and unto the second fight against my ex....

EDIT 2:

Did last 2 fights with ex, escaped city, and achieved: "harder than r/gonewild". :-)

2 more to go now: "Adderall4all" and "John Rambo'd!".

Interesting. We've actually fixed this bug at one point, but it seems like it's popping up for some people.
