Scythe achievement?

How do you cut off all limbs whilst keeping them alive? I think I cut someones arm off but he ran off. LOL.

I used the Hedge Clippers to get it.

This...you need to use an item which can dismember, but also doesn't do enough damage with 4 strikes to kill someone. Also, you can try on cops, since they are a bit sturdier than civies.

How do you get them to keep still? I seem to keep cutting their heads off by default?

By cutting off one of thier legs. Crouching will help to aim at their legs.

The shopkeeper of the Lucky Ganesh has enough hit points. I chainsawed him and got the achievement by accident (why the hell should I pay for milk?).

Green soldiers are perfect candidates IMO.
They have plenty HP and they always travel in packs. If you failed with one, try again on another one right away.

As for weapons:
Hedge Clippers, Machete, Axe, Chainsaw = GOOD
Shovel, Scythe, Switchblade = BAD

Exactly what I did but I found that after cutting both legs off the guy would die when his arm got cut. I decided to cut both arms off then scythe the legs and it popped. This game is awesome to achievement hunt on. I remember having so much fun on this game as a kid.
