Talking to people?

I remember you used to be able to make the Dude say "Hi there" to random people...was that me just imagining it? I know you can say "Get down", but was there one where it was just a normal hello?

Hm, I know that one obviously. I played this on CD before Steam version, and I remember you can talk to people. Maybe I was just imagining things.

Sometimes pawns engage in random conversation, often they great each other with 'Hi there'.

Hm, I guess I'm imagining things. I thought there was a button to try to greet people normally instead of just the boot or "Get down".

Thanks though. Maybe I'll install the CD version to see if there's any difference but it's just probably me remembering the game differently. Damn I'm old.

The only instances when you talk to people directly is when buying things, or on wednesday, when you walk around with your petition. Then, you can click the mouse button and the Dude says "Hi there, would you like to sign my petition?". Maybe you vaguely remember that mission. :)

Btw, it's good to see that the Steam ver plays nice. Sometimes the transition for some games from CD -> Steam makes it crappy for some reason. And the new additions were just beautiful.
