gore textures origin

since everything in the game is photobashed, were the photos used for the guts textures taken from medical or animal gore? because the texture files for guts 2 and 3 have a orange tint on them that makes it look like it was taken from a video or something

It is very likely that the devs used real anatomical photos from medical or forensic sources just like the HL2's real corpse texture.

yea specifically corpse01.mdl. that one used a real burn victim just slightly edited

well most other textures in the game are photos of real things (even the face textures) so im just wondering if the gore was also taken from real photos
