Should I get this on Steam or GOG?

The one big advantage with GOG is it's DRM free.

Also, does the steam workshop have anything good?

If it matters, I prefer Linux but I would settle with Windows.

well chose whatever you fell confortable with i dont see any advantage of a DRM free
well steam has a plus the workshop the modding comunity is pretty decent and active

Both releases are DRM free. Once you download the P2 game files from Steam, you don't need to have Steam open to play the game. Simply run the executable whenever you please. Workshop mods also work in the GOG version, but you need to download and manually install the mod files.

The GOG release is a few updates behind Steam at the moment, but the GOG patch is being worked on right now.

Also, while Mac and Linux versions are available in all releases, they are not currently running on the latest build of the game. However, the Mac and Linux updates are also being worked although there's no exact ETA yet.
