Can We Still Get Games Like Postal 2 in Today's Market?

Man, I just finished this game, and all I'm thinking is whether it’s possible for us to have games like this in the future, especially now that the majority of the market is controlled by DEI and critics who seem to destroy games rather than improve them.

Probably not. Postal 4 is closest as it gets, although it has problems of its own.

Indie devs could make something like postal but their budget is pretty low.

The game already was insanely controversial when it came out in 2003. It was mainly made to piss off people. There will always be small devs making edgy videogames.

AAA studios wouldnt have ever touched something like Postal 2 with a 10 foot pole in the past either just due to the violence alone.

Cruelty Squad is the closest recent fps regarding edgyness I can think of, coming out in 2021. Though not as offensive as Postal 2. But also made by weirdos who didn't care about generating profits from mass appeal.
