Did you complete all the tasks? Just go to a loading screen and you go to the end day cutscene.

Um. Just walk to the end of the line, keep walking and walk until you find the door that leads into the vault.

Either go back the way you came and leave the area, or go touch the book shelf. Use the secert passage and escape.
