postal 2 have low fps

hi my game have on 30 40 fps
and fullscreen problem i have fixed fullscreen problem but after game gives me 30 20 fps

My specs

AMD R7 240
İntel Quad Core 9300
6 gb ram

You can't make it run any much faster. The game is a 32 but, mono-core game. It's 20th years old today.

You can use OpenGL render (you have to use Fullscreen Windowed in order to use it) and set ReduceMouseLag = False from Postal2.ini and/or ParadiseLost.ini

i already using this string on config and gives me low fps i chanced direct x boosted 10fps+ my normal fps in game 75 80 fps when i killed 1 people fps drops 30 20 how im a fix it

has nothing to do with the game being 20 years old.
i last played in Dec. 2021 and it ran on 144fps - no problems.

Now i have the same problem as OP.
When the game runs in 'window' mode and i tab to my desktop - it runs in 144fps - as soon as i tab back in to the game it drops to 20-30.
And i'm only in the main menu.

/edit had to verify the game files twice (idk why) and i guess that 'fixed' the problem - game now works fullscreen and runs smooth af.
