Why does no one play multiplayer anymore?
Why does no one play multiplayer anymore?
Side question: If anyone can still play it, who wants to dust if off and have some fun?

Because it is unsupported, and still based on the original Share the pain version, which is older and even more difficult to use than the current Steam version.

Via the xPatch mod, there's a way to forcefully load the multiplayer, but i really don't know how effective this method work.

Nick's co-op is semi-official at this point, as for PVP, well it just wasn't that great.

And despite upstreaming some game patch, and having Nick on the rws team, it ain't integrated into the game itself.
Due to the number of people already failing the first easy steps of installation, it should probably be better for those to add it.

It more or less works. It's P2 but there's more of you. It still doesn't support Paradise Lost last I checked.

I played through the days of PvP, it was pretty fun, most servers had players daily.
