'40 Year Old Virgin' achievement

hi there,

i need to know about '40 Year Old Virgin' achievement. does it not count if you're playing enhanced mode? i ask b/c i just finished my first pacifist run on enhanced in 1:29:58 (two whole seconds to spare - would've gotten a better time if i figured out earlier on i could rob the bank for thursday's money-based tasks), and i only got 'Anustart' when i was fully expecting to get both due to the fact my total time clocks two seconds under the specified 1:30:00 requirement

if the conditions are insensitive to enhanced mode, then i want to know why two seconds under the required time doesn't pass the check, as that logic simply doesn't compute :p

you can't get any speedrun achievements in enhanced game.

yea that's fair, altho i wish that were more obvious; it's hard to tell what does and doesn't qualify with enhanced, as some will unlock regardless while others won't

hello,

a good rule of thumb - to not use enhanced mode while achievement-hunting. some achievements are not obtainable with that option on. not sure about "40 Year Old Virgin" tho, but quite possibly enhanced mode prevents getting it. not 100% sure

i believe enhanced mode prevents it. just gonna have to go again in a regular game; i can clear monday in about 10 minutes without shovel-jumping, so hopefully i'll be able to maintain a good pace throughout runs!

most achievements if not all are optainable with enhanced mode but the speedrunner achievements cant be done in this cause it requires to be normal mode which tell you the ingame description, they kinda screwed up the steam description but ingame will tell you exactly that the reason you wont get it is because it have to be done in Normal mode.

Advice: save yourself extra time and watch speedruns on YouTube to get an idea on how you can avoid unnecessary backtracking.
How you get from point A to B to C and so on the quickest relies on which task you choose to do first and what routes you take.

yea, i've already devised a few strats, some straight-forward others learned

for instance, there's a big thursday skip where u get arrested and sent over to the cop shop right after picking up napalm, where one can hand in their parking fine to the dropbox without having to exit the maze of the burning factory, while also skipping over the travel you have to make from factory to police station
