Any other game with the same structure

Many people sort of call postal 2 one of the worst games but I have to admit back when I played it growing up in the early 2000s it blew my mind. Mainly the fact the map is a connected open city when almost every building enter able and I think the textures have a nice nostalgic charm to them. I still have tons of fun messing around especially with the workshop mods which I love. Can anyone think of another game similar to this one that might be cool to try?

I really can't think of anything, aside from Postal 4.

I'm trying to think of games that have a similar attitude, behavior, gameplay, (relatively) open world, and really just such a carefree attitude. And I'm not coming up with much.

There's probably some 2D indie games out there, but I can't come up with much of anything I've played that's like Postal 2. And I'm not saying they're not "quite like" Postal 2, I can't think of anything remotely like Postal 2.

I mean, Saints Row kind of comes close to the humor and mayhem, but it's just not the same.

So yeah, summary: Postal 2 occupies a unique place in videogames that has yet to be replaced, and it's doubtful that it will. The only contender that I can think of is its successor, Postal 4.

Oh... and there's like a fecal-tonne of completely copulating .wads for Doom 2 that are completely off their damn rockers. I'm thinking Grezzo 2 (hope you speak Italian, cause I sure as hell don't, but it's fun), and there's this one Russian game made with GZDoom that I played recently but I can't remember the name of it. I'll edit this when I find it. So, yeah, the only things that have come close to Postal 2's charm to me are weird-ass, offensive, over the top Doom mods.

A little bit, but it was level based, although some levels could be pretty circuitous. But I thought you were looking more for something "open-ended" with a similar attitude, where you could go back and forth between areas. For that, nothing really comes to mind.

I assume since you love Duke 3D you've also played Shadow Warrior and Blood. If not, do so.

id say the same irreverent attitude is present in shadow warrior 2013 and sw2.. except ur killing yakuza n demons... i.e. u cant do as much messed up stuff.. but lo wangs ALMOST as funny as the dude imo.. sorry been mentioned.. but it deserves another...and of course p4! thats a definite go get right now game. id also agree with the SR series..
