Yeah, nice little reminder of what makes postal 2 special.
Worth noting that even after all these years, I learned stuff from these videos that helped me finish on hestonworld. One, I had no idea that getting arrested was an actual strategy, I thought it was a punishment or something to do to see what happens. I feel stupid for not realizing the obvious advantage of being spawned into a location that gives you tons of weapons and a police uniform. That was a huge help.
His PL videos were hilarious in particular
I have to admit, I feel stupid for playing the game as long as I have and still learning obvious tactics from his videos. I could tell people that cops can take bribes and grab cash from people they kill, pissing in faces is an effective stun strategy, but somehow it never popped into my head that getting arrested every day and robbing the bank every day was a super useful thing, and was clearly made that way on purpose since the amount of money in the vault and weapons in the armory increases with every passing day.
Thanks to him, my hestonworld run had me reaching AW with over a thousand dollars, and of course as soon as you leave the hospital you can buy some cheap crack, I cannot imagine that I would have been able to finish without that advantage.
EDIT: I'll admit, as much as I love games like this with tons of hidden details and mechanics, I am usually the slowest to figure them out. The first time I played postal 2, I think I was on wednesday before I realized that if I'm on fire I was supposed to piss up to put myself out, I thought the game was just super broken and I was dead if I caught on fire no matter what. Finding out that pissing wasn't just a cheap joke but an actual game mechanic kind of blew my little early teens mind.
I have been loving his channel, reminds me of the old spoony videos before he decided to just collect his money and do stream videos because why not. Can't blame the guy, he snapped but he was upfront about the real life issues he was dealing with, and even his own fanbase lept on that.
One of his jokes will always stick with me as I play now:
"Didn't you just save?"
"Didn't you just crash?"
I actually heard of postal 2 from him, and I thank him for that. This is one of the best games I've played.
