Is Paradise Lost worth it?
Ok, so i had Postal 2 when it originally released (10+ years ago), loved it, spent sooo many hours playing it it's not even funny. And i got it on Steam a while back (at this point i would like to thank my pug for somehow getting his paws on my cd /s).
Now i'm thinking of playing it again, and i noticed they released a new DLC for it.

So is it worth it? What does it add? A whole new week of murderous actions or just a weekend? :)

Thank you for any future answers and help, but please make them quick as i'd like to try to get the money for it before the discount passes. :)

PS: Has the one whose name we will not mention ever been patched?

Sales good until the 12th, don't worry ;)

But yes, Paradise Lost is very worth it. It adds five days, Monday-Friday. Same map as the base game, but some things are a bit different, and it has a post-apocalyptic theme to it. There's also a new weapon or two. It's got a very funny, goofy story-line as well, and several boss fights, including Zack Ward, who played Postal Dude in the movie.

You mean "Postal" 3? No, no patches. RWS has had no control of that title, and the company who made it went out of business. Supposedly, the source code was finally found a few months ago, but it's all in Russian. So we may see community made patches in the future q:

I like the sound of that. :) Gonna see if i can come up with the money. :)

Guess i'm not gonna pull the trigger on the third one ever, it seems interesting but beyond broken.
In any case, thank you very much for all that info. :)

One last question, does the Steam version of Postal 2 include the weekend and that other DLC whose name i've forgotten? If not, how and where can i get those? :)

Well, Postal 2 and the DLC go on sale very frequently, so even if you miss the sale, it won't be too long until the next time!

A friend of mine got me P3 a while back, he bought the Postal Fudge Pack on RWS website. After shipping, it's around $15, and it comes with a Steam key for Postal 1, 2, & 3. So if you ever decide to try it out, that would be the way to go, since it's the same price as buying P3 on Steam q:

And yup, the Steam version includes it all! When you start a new game, you select which difficulty you wanna play, and which game mode: Postal 2 (Monday-Friday), A Week in Paradise (all seven days), or Apocalypse Weekend (Saturday and Sunday only).

Got it, thank you. :) It'll be A Week in Paradise when i do start. :)
Honestly, at this point, the only way i'll be buying postal if it hits 90% off, it'll probably be unplayable even then.

Postal 2 + Paradise Lost is on sale right now (in the UK atleast) for £1.49.

Paradise Lost alone is only 89p lol

I know, but to get euros on my card i have to pay at least 5, which is a bit of a snag for me as i'm broke and the conversion rate sucks for my country, which is why i asked if it was worth it, so i can try to get the money together. :)

Actually, a kind soul showed up on my profile and gifted me a key for it. :) The moment i finish Saints Row i'm going back to Postal to cause some havoc. :) Was thinking of trying a pacifist run for once, although i'm really not sure how that's suppose to work.

Every errand in the game has a way to be completed without killing anyone ;)

So basically "Run Forrest, run!"? :D
I actually did try the very first thing today, "pick up paycheck" and have managed to run through the horde of angry protesters.
One more question specifically for you dev, i read somewhere that you can only complete the regular Postal 2 game (first 5 days) on a a pacifist run and that the weekend pacifist run is not possible.
Is this true? If it is, i'd like to know so i can do a pacifist run without the weekend before redoing it all in a haze of indiscriminate violence :D

Ahhh, thank you very much for that. :) So i'll restart and do the pacifist run and then to the "OH MY GOD THIS GAME IS SO SEXIST, FULL OF GORE AND DISCRIMINATION" run (as posted by an OP that was long ago banned and gave me a good chuckle today. :D
